Bali is the most famous island of Indonesia. It is undoubtedly a super beautiful place and one of the best islands and holiday destinations all over the world known to the people of the east and west! The island and province of Indonesia is a home to an ancient culture which is known for its hospitality. Bali is also famous for its gorgeous beaches, towering volcanoes, exotic palaces and temples that have stunning natural views in background, exciting surf spots, unforgettable spa experiences and so many more things with most of all countless choices of delicious Balinese cuisine!
Therefore, with so many things to do, you may get a bit confused of what to do first, when you won’t be in any mood to leave the beach. But no need to worry because you are here where I’ve made a list of must do things for you! Just scroll down.
As I mentioned that Bali has wonderful beaches and amazing natural backdrops it needs to be viewed from the sky as well because viewing Bali from the sky takes it all to the next level.
WARNING: while indulging in this activity you may fall in love with Bali! We had this amazing experience on Nusa Dua beach.
2. Flying Fish Boat
After the parasailing adventure you need to do this one! I saw this first time ever. You simply have to sit on the boat, clutching a rope and it flies (no harness! 😮). There isn’t any sort of super technology! Actually, the inflated boat is connected to a big speed boat which moves in the opposite direction of the wind causing it to rise in air. Honestly one of the best experiences I had in Bali!
Afterwards don’t forget to go to the spa, they are available after every few footsteps! Hence spa trips are a default part of Bali retreats! I definitely appreciate the wellness treatments like Balinese massage, hot stone massage and also the organic treatments like Lemon and Honey Facial. To be really honest after all the beach adventures you end up getting some treatments to soothe the sun burn. Rejoice pampering yourself and relaxing as much as you can before getting back to old routine of life.

4. Bali Swing
An addition to your Bali adventures. Essentially, another way to get a great panoramic view of nature and Instagram worthy pictures! Here you can feel the comfort, fresh air and beauty all over while swinging over either the rice paddies or forest! As you soar high on the swing you will get a good chance to capture some wonderful lifetime memories. Maybe this is the only place where you can get the freedom of swinging over the trees! Therefore, don’t miss it!
5. Luwak Coffee
OMG! Another most important thing! Luwak coffee is one of world’s most expensive coffees. Actually, getting Luwak coffee is an obstacle because mostly the coffee sold as Luwak coffee is fake or you get it for $500 per kg (estimate). But luckily in Bali you can get it cheaper or it becomes cheap due to the currency difference. Being a coffee addict, I got so many for home.
The cool fact about this coffee is that it is made with the partially digested coffee cherries that are eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet. Sounds yucky?? Initially it did sound disgusting to me! But they don’t offer it in the raw form rather it is taken through many cleaning processes and then roasted. Now sounding better? It should! The taste and smell of this coffee was amazing!
6. Dine in the Rice Pads
Bali is not only about beaches! Asia’s best rice pads are located in Ubud, Bali. Don’t miss the experience of dining in these paddies that feature the most vibrant shades of green. You can go for either breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, whatever you like🙂. Although I won’t recommend dinner because you will not be able to take pictures which are a must!
It offers a variety of traditional Balinese, western and Asian cuisine.

7. Monkey Forest
The monkey forest is thought to be a sacred place among the local people. It is a home to more than 700 friendly grey macaques. There are paved pathways all along the forest and many temples too. Over the years it has become a great tourist spot where you can make friends and take selfies with monkeys.

8. Buy Furniture
Bali is one of the best places to buy your home furniture and decor. The unique thing about it is that it is mostly handmade and wooden. Cheap as well! Bali has some very artful artisans who create handmade: wooden furniture, ceramic cookeries and decor pieces that are only found in Bali and need to there in your home! I love the unique designs which were simple and delicate.
9. Tegenungan Waterfall
Another incredible spot to adore nature! This is a scenic waterfall in lush forest and has a shallow place for you to enjoy swimming. Though swimming is not compulsory, you can enjoy the view while sipping coffee.
10. Mount Batur Volcano
A huge addition to Bali’s wonderful natural beauty. It is an active volcano (1717 m) located in the north-western region of Bali. Mostly famous for being climbed to watch the sunrise early in the morning. Near this mountain there is another volcano Mount Agung and lake Batur which adds to the beauty!
11. Sip in the Seniman Coffee Studio
This place is a great stop over where you can enjoy and fund your coffee addiction with any type of brew in comfy, exquisite interior. It’s also the right place to learn about the process and craft of brewing and then definitely rock while you enjoy the results. Address: Jl. Sri wedari, No. 5, Banjar Taman Kelod, Ubud, Bali 80561
